Prominent Baloch leader Mir Yar Baloch has declared Balochistan’s independence from Pakistan, urging Indian media and intellectuals to stop referring to Balochs as “Pakistan’s own people”. He emphasized that Balochistan had already declared independence on August 11, 1947, before its forced annexation by Pakistan in 1948.

Balochistan’s Stand & Request to India

Mir Yar Baloch stated that Balochistan and its people fully support India, particularly in the wake of Operation Sindoor, where India targeted terrorist sites in Pakistan and PoK. He urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to recognize Balochistan’s sovereignty, claiming that 60 million Baloch patriots stand with India.

Human Rights Violations & Struggle for Freedom

Balochistan has long suffered from air bombings, enforced disappearances, and genocide, with Pakistani security forces accused of suppressing dissent. The region has been a hotbed of insurgency, with Baloch leaders calling for international intervention and recognition.

Geopolitical Implications & Future Outlook

The declaration of independence comes amid India-Pakistan tensions, with Baloch leaders seeking support from India and the United Nations. The move could reshape South Asian geopolitics, as calls for a free Balochistan gain momentum.
