In the wake of the tragic Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 individuals, including Indian Navy Lieutenant Vinay Narwal, his widow, Himanshi Narwal, has made a heartfelt appeal for peace and unity. Speaking to the media on what would have been her husband’s 27th birthday, Himanshi urged the nation not to direct anger towards Muslims or Kashmiris.

“We don’t want people going against Muslims or Kashmiris. We want peace and only peace. Of course, we want justice,” Himanshi stated, emphasizing the importance of harmony amidst the grief and outrage following the attack.

Lieutenant Narwal, who hailed from Karnal, Haryana, had recently married Himanshi on April 16. The couple was honeymooning in Pahalgam when the attack occurred. Himanshi’s poignant words have resonated across the nation, highlighting the need for unity in the face of adversity.

The attack, which took place at Baisaran Valley, has been described as one of the worst in recent years in Jammu and Kashmir. Himanshi’s appeal for peace comes as the nation mourns the loss of innocent lives and seeks justice for the victims.

Lieutenant Narwal was remembered as a dedicated officer and a cheerful individual by his colleagues. His funeral, held in Karnal, was attended by thousands, including political leaders and Navy personnel, who paid their respects with full military honors.

Himanshi’s courage and call for peace have become a symbol of resilience, urging the nation to rise above communal divisions and focus on justice and unity.
