Hitachi India Appoints N Venu as Managing Director, Strengthens Digital-Centric Growth Strategy

Hitachi India has announced the appointment of N Venu as its new Managing Director, effective June 2, 2025. Venu will take over from Bharat Kaushal, who has been elevated to Executive Chairman of Hitachi India.

Leadership Transition & Strategic Vision

Venu will continue in his current role as MD & CEO of Hitachi Energy India and Region Head of South Asia at Hitachi Energy, alongside his new responsibilities. His focus will be on expanding Hitachi’s presence in India, aligning with the company’s Inspire 2027 management plan.

Key Growth Initiatives

• Strengthening Cohesion: Venu will oversee 28 Hitachi group companies in India, driving synergies across IT and Operational Technology (OT).
• Digital Transformation: Hitachi India aims to expand its Lumada business, integrating AI, IoT, and advanced analytics into its operations.
• Sectoral Expansion: The company is witnessing major growth across rail, digital industries, energy, financial inclusion, e-education, and healthcare.
