Japanese electric vehicle manufacturer Terra Motors has officially entered India’s L5 electric three-wheeler segment, appointing its first dealership in Varanasi as part of an aggressive national expansion strategy. The move marks a significant shift from the traditional L3 (e-rickshaw) market to high-speed, urban-ready L5 EVs, led by the company’s flagship model, Kyoro+.
🚘 Kyoro+ Launch Spurs Dealer Interest
The Kyoro+ electric 3-wheeler, launched on May 27, boasts a 200 km range, 5-year warranty, and an on-road price starting at ₹3.65 lakh. Backed by Terra Finance’s zero down payment offer, the vehicle is designed for both urban and semi-urban mobility, offering a compelling alternative to CNG and traditional e-rickshaws.
Within just two weeks of launch, Terra Motors received over 100 dealership enquiries, signaling strong market demand for high-performance L5 EVs.
🏪 First Dealership: M.M. Enterprises, Varanasi
The inaugural dealership, M.M. Enterprises, previously operated in the L3 segment and transitioned to L5 in response to evolving traffic norms that restrict CNG and e-rickshaws on main roads.
“Kyoro+ ticks every box—mileage, comfort, price, and financing,” said Mukhtar Ansari, proprietor of M.M. Enterprises.

According to Go Suzuki, Managing Director of Terra Motors India,

The company aims to onboard 100 L5 dealers across India, focusing on partners from both L3 and existing L5 markets.
