The operation, conducted by security forces in the National Park area, marks one of the most successful anti-Maoist offensives in recent months.

🔥 Top Leadership Neutralized

Among the deceased were:

  • Gautam alias Sudhakar, a Central Committee member of CPI (Maoist)
  • Bhaskar Rao, a State Committee member

Their deaths are seen as a strategic setback for the Maoist insurgency in central India.

🧾 Local Link Under Investigation

Another body recovered was identified as Mahesh Kodiyam, a resident of Irpagutta village and a cook assistant at a local primary school until March 2025. Authorities confirmed his active involvement with the Maoist group and are investigating how he came into contact with top leaders like Gautam and Bhaskar.

🛡️ Security Forces’ Appeal

Police have urged individuals with direct or indirect links to the banned CPI (Maoist) to sever all ties immediately, warning that continued association poses a threat to public safety and regional peace. A comprehensive and impartial inquiry is underway to examine all aspects of the case.
