Pickleball sensation Anna Leigh Waters has etched her name into the history books by becoming the first player ever to achieve a ‘Triple 50’ on the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour—a monumental milestone that includes 50 singles titles, 50 women’s doubles titles, and 50 mixed doubles titles.
🏆 A Triple Crown for the Ages
At the Orange County Cup, Waters delivered a flawless performance, sweeping all three categories—women’s singles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles—to claim her 35th career triple crown. She defeated Catherine Parenteau 11-6, 11-1 in the singles final and teamed up with Anna Bright to win the women’s doubles title after a thrilling comeback.
In mixed doubles, Waters and partner Ben Johns clinched their 50th title together by defeating Jorja and JW Johnson 11-4, 11-9, 11-5, further cementing their dominance on the tour.
👑 A Legacy in the Making
At just 18 years old, Waters now holds 52 singles titles, 50 women’s doubles titles, and 52 mixed doubles titles, making her one of the most decorated athletes in pickleball history. Her journey began at age 10, and she turned pro at 12, quickly rising to become the sport’s top-ranked player.
“I honestly could not do the doubles without Anna, without Catherine, and without my mom. I could not do the mixed without Ben,” Waters said, crediting her partners and her mother-coach Leigh Waters for her success.
🔥 Unbeaten Streak and Future Goals
Waters and Bright remain undefeated in 2025, having won back-to-back titles since reuniting. Their chemistry and resilience were on full display as they overcame a tough challenge from their former partners in the women’s doubles final.
With her unmatched consistency, explosive style, and humility, Anna Leigh Waters continues to inspire a new generation of athletes and elevate pickleball’s global profile.
