A fresh political storm has erupted after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of “surrendering” to US pressure during the India-Pakistan military conflict following Operation Sindoor. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has hit back, calling Gandhi’s remarks “indecent” and questioning his allegiance.
🔴 BJP’s Sharp Response:
- BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari dismissed Gandhi’s statement, saying, “Rahul Gandhi’s heart beats for Pakistan. His words reflect his values, and this is what can be expected from him.”
- Bhandari credited PM Modi for giving a “befitting reply to Pakistan’s terror masters.”
- BJP leaders also referenced past incidents, including Gandhi’s floral tribute to Indira Gandhi, where he allegedly did not remove his shoes, calling it “disrespectful.”
📢 Rahul Gandhi’s Allegations:
- Speaking at a Congress event in Bhopal, Gandhi claimed that PM Modi surrendered after a call from then-US President Donald Trump.
- He compared Modi’s leadership to Indira Gandhi’s handling of the 1971 war, stating, “Congress’s lions and lionesses fight against superpowers and never bow down.”
- Gandhi further alleged that BJP-RSS leaders run away when pressured, calling them “fearful.”
⚠️ Political Fallout:
The remarks have intensified the Congress vs BJP rivalry, with BJP leaders branding Gandhi as “an agent of Pakistan”. Meanwhile, Congress supporters argue that Gandhi is exposing Modi’s foreign policy failures.
