As part of the nationwide Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan, the Kamrup district administration organized a large-scale tribal outreach camp aimed at delivering government welfare schemes directly to tribal households. The initiative is part of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs’ mission to achieve 100% benefit saturation in tribal-dominated regions by Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas (November 15, 2025).
🏕️ Empowering Through Participation
Held at a designated tribal cluster in Kamrup, the camp featured:
- On-the-spot Aadhaar enrollment and updates
- Ayushman Bharat health card distribution
- Jan Dhan account openings
- Scholarship and pension scheme registrations
- Skill training and livelihood program sign-ups
The event also included Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) screening and counseling, aligning with the campaign’s health outreach goals.
🗣️ Voices from the Ground
District officials, tribal leaders, and volunteers from My Bharat, NSS, and local SHGs facilitated the camp.
“This is not just a welfare drive—it’s a celebration of tribal identity and inclusion,” said a senior district officer.
📢 Cultural Engagement and IEC Activities
The camp featured folk performances, nukkad nataks, and interactive storytelling to raise awareness about tribal rights and entitlements. Mobile IEC vans, selfie points, and multilingual banners helped ensure accessibility and engagement.
🌍 Part of a National Movement
The Kamrup camp is one of thousands being held across 549 tribal-dominated districts, covering over 63,000 villages, including 29,000 PVTG habitations, under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA).
