The T20 Mumbai League 2025 auction witnessed intense bidding wars as franchises secured some of the city’s most promising young cricketers. Among the standout purchases were Musheer Khan, Ayush Mhatre, and Suryansh Shedge, who attracted significant bids from competing teams.

Big Buys in the Auction

  • Musheer Khan (Punjab Kings IPL squad) was snapped up by ARCS Andheri for ₹15 lakh.
  • Ayush Mhatre, who recently made his IPL debut for Chennai Super Kings, was acquired by Triumph Knights Mumbai North East for ₹14.75 lakh.
  • Suryansh Shedge, a rising star, joined Triumph Knights Mumbai North East for ₹13.75 lakh.

Other Notable Purchases

  • Atharva Ankolekar emerged as the most expensive buy, securing a ₹16.25 lakh deal with Eagle Thane Strikers.
  • Angkrish Raghuvanshi, another young talent, was picked up by SoBo Mumbai Falcons for ₹14 lakh.
  • Tanush Kotian, who received a Test call-up last year, was signed by North Mumbai Panthers for ₹10 lakh.

League Overview

The third edition of the T20 Mumbai League is set to take place from May 26 to June 8 at the Wankhede Stadium. The tournament continues to serve as a crucial platform for Mumbai’s domestic players, offering them opportunities to showcase their talent and earn recognition at higher levels.

Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) President Ajinkya Naik emphasized the importance of performance over price tags, stating, “The cost is secondary, but performances are primary. These youngsters have earned their place through consistent performances, including in the IPL.”

With a mix of emerging stars and experienced players, the upcoming season promises high-voltage action, making it one of the most anticipated domestic T20 tournaments in India.
