“My Grandson Is Innocent”: Raj Kushwaha’s Grandmother Dies of Heart Attack Amid Murder Case Turmoil

In a tragic turn of events, Ram Lalli (74), grandmother of murder accused Raj Kushwaha, passed away from a heart attack at her home in Rampur village, Fatehpur district. Her death comes just days after Raj’s arrest in connection with the murder of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi during a honeymoon trip in Meghalaya.

Family members say Lalli had been in deep emotional distress since Raj’s arrest and had stopped eating, repeatedly asserting her grandson’s innocence.

“She kept saying till the end that Raj was innocent and was being framed,” said her husband Darbari Singh, adding that the family had been shattered by the allegations.

Before her death, Lalli had told reporters that Raj had no romantic involvement with co-accused Sonam Raghuvanshi, the victim’s wife.

“Sonam got her husband killed and is dragging Raj into this. He only worked at her brother’s factory,” she had said.

Raj’s family, including his mother and younger sister, have maintained that he was at work in Indore at the time of the murder and had no role in the crime.

“My son is just 20. He worked hard to support us after his father’s death. He cannot do something like this,” said his mother.
