The Bajali Agro Farmers Producer Company (FPC) has inaugurated a new facility in Jalikhata, Assam, aimed at enhancing market access and support for local farmers. This initiative, backed by NABARD and Access Development Services, is expected to strengthen agricultural productivity and rural livelihoods.
Key Features of the Facility
- Infrastructure: Includes an office, purchase and sales center, agri-input shop, and storeroom.
- Farmer Support: Provides better access to agricultural inputs, market linkages, and storage solutions.
- Financial Assistance: NABARD has sanctioned a ₹6 lakh credit facility to support agri-input trading and farming activities.
Government & Institutional Backing
The facility is part of the Central Sector Scheme for the Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). NABARD’s Assam Regional Office serves as the implementing agency, while Access Development Services functions as the Cluster-Based Business Organization (CBBO).
