Tensions in West Asia have escalated dramatically after Iranian lawmaker Qasem Ravanbakhsh issued a stark warning to the United States, urging President Donald Trump to “order mass production of coffins” following targeted US airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities. The remarks come amid growing fears of a broader regional conflict and retaliatory action from Tehran.

💣 US Strikes Spark Outrage in Tehran

The warning follows Operation Midnight Hammer, a US-led military campaign that struck three major Iranian nuclear sites—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan—over the weekend. President Trump claimed the strikes had “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear enrichment infrastructure, a claim Iranian officials have strongly disputed.

“Trump should order mass production from coffin-making companies as soon as possible to transfer the bodies of American military personnel stationed in the region,” said Ravanbakhsh, a member of parliament from Iran’s Qom province.

🛑 Iran Denies Damage, Vows Retaliation

Ravanbakhsh dismissed US claims of extensive damage, asserting that the Fordow underground facility remains largely intact. He emphasized that Iran’s nuclear knowledge is indestructible, and accused the US of committing “crimes” against international law.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi echoed the sentiment, labeling the strikes as “criminal acts” and “war crimes”, and warned of “everlasting consequences” for Washington’s actions.

⚠️ IRGC and Global Reactions

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) also issued a televised statement, warning the US to “expect regrettable responses.” Meanwhile, countries like Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia have expressed concern over the escalation, with the United Nations cautioning against a “dangerous spiral” that could destabilize the region.

🧭 What Lies Ahead?

As diplomatic channels remain strained, the international community is urging de-escalation and dialogue. India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reportedly spoken with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, calling for restraint and peaceful resolution.

Stay tuned for real-time updates on this developing crisis.
