Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) head coach Andy Flower has acknowledged that ‘Operation Sindoor’, which led to the one-week suspension of IPL 2025, turned out to be a blessing in disguise for the eventual champions.
🔴 How ‘Operation Sindoor’ Helped RCB:
- Rajat Patidar recovered from a finger injury, allowing him to return stronger for the final stretch.
- Josh Hazlewood, RCB’s leading wicket-taker, returned from a shoulder injury after undergoing rehab in Australia.
- The break gave RCB time to regroup and strategize, helping them bounce back from a slow start.
📢 Coach Andy Flower’s Statement:
Flower admitted, “Even this evening while we were celebrating, a couple of guys mentioned to me that the break gave Hazlewood time to recover, and crucially, it gave Rajat time to recover with his hand.” He further praised Patidar’s leadership, saying, “Captaining RCB is a really tricky job, but Rajat showed immense calmness under pressure.”
