Tripura CM Manik Saha: 17,554 Government Jobs Filled in 7 Years, Emphasizes Transparency

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has announced that 17,554 government posts have been filled over the past seven years, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to transparent recruitment.

Merit-Based Hiring and Women’s Reservation

CM Saha highlighted that all appointments were made on merit, ensuring fair opportunities for candidates. Additionally, 33% of the positions were reserved for women, promoting gender inclusivity in government jobs.

Strengthening Law Enforcement and Public Services

The recruitment drive included 975 constables, with 643 male and 332 female officers receiving appointment letters. The Tripura cabinet has also approved hiring 916 more constables, aiming to bolster the state’s police force.

Government’s Focus on Employment and Development

CM Saha assured unemployed youth that the government is actively working to create more job opportunities, discouraging protests for employment. He emphasized that Tripura’s unemployment rate has significantly declined, reflecting effective governance and economic growth.

Future Plans and Social Initiatives

The state government is also focusing on women empowerment, with over ₹746.80 crore disbursed to Self Help Groups (SHGs), benefiting 91,871 women entrepreneurs.

With continued efforts in employment generation and law enforcement, Tripura is strengthening its workforce, ensuring sustainable development and social progress.
