The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) in Tripura has initiated a statewide training program for Booth-Level Officers (BLOs) and BLO Supervisors, aiming to enhance grassroots election management. The training, conducted under Election Commission of India (ECI) directives, focuses on electoral roll accuracy, voter verification, and procedural efficiency.

  • 85 participants from Mohanpur, Sadar, and Jirania subdivisions attended the first session in West Tripura district.
  • Core training areas include door-to-door verification, photo electoral roll updates, and error-free voter registration.
  • Tripura has 3,352 polling booths, making BLO efficiency crucial for free and fair elections.
  • Chief Electoral Officer Brijesh Pandy and Deputy Electoral Officer Suman Banik supervised the training program.
