The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a sweeping set of initiatives to strengthen its Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) ecosystem, positioning the sector as a key driver in its ambitious journey toward becoming a $1 trillion economy.

The announcement came on International MSME Day, marked by a grand state-level event in Lucknow, where Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath unveiled a series of schemes aimed at empowering youth, promoting local industries, and boosting entrepreneurship.

🚀 Key Initiatives Launched

  • CM-YUVA Mobile App: Offers job listings, career guidance, and startup support for young entrepreneurs
  • ODOP Common Facility Centers (CFCs): Virtually inaugurated in Bareilly and Moradabad to support artisans and traditional industries
  • Youth Adda in Kisan Bazar, Lucknow: A new hub for skill-building, networking, and innovation
  • Toolkit & Cheque Distribution: 15 beneficiaries received support under MSME policy, CM-YUVA, and ODOP schemes

🌍 Global Push for Local Products

To enhance the global visibility of UP’s unique crafts, an MoU was signed between the Human Welfare Association and the Industries Department to secure more Geographical Indication (GI) tags for indigenous products.

“MSMEs are the backbone of our economy. With these initiatives, we aim to create jobs, boost exports, and make UP a global manufacturing hub,” said CM Yogi Adityanath.

📊 MSMEs: The Growth Engine

Uttar Pradesh leads India in MSME growth, contributing significantly to employment generation, exports, and rural development. The state’s One District One Product (ODOP) scheme has already gained national recognition for promoting regional specialties.

These efforts align with UP’s broader economic roadmap, which includes digital transformation, infrastructure upgrades, and sector-specific policies to attract investment and foster inclusive growth.
