AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has launched a scathing critique of Pakistan’s earlier move to nominate Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, following the former US President’s authorization of airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities. Speaking at a public gathering in Hyderabad, Owaisi questioned the logic behind Islamabad’s endorsement, asking, “Did they want him to bomb nations to deserve the prize?”

🛑 Owaisi Mocks Pakistan’s Military Diplomacy

Owaisi also took aim at Pakistan’s military leadership, referencing the recent lunch meeting between Trump and Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir.

“Did Pakistan’s general have lunch with the US president for this? They’ve all been exposed today,” he said, implying complicity or naivety in Pakistan’s diplomatic overtures.

⚠️ Warning of Fallout for India

The Hyderabad MP warned that a full-scale war in the Gulf and Middle East—where over 16 million Indians reside—could have grave consequences for India’s diaspora and economy. He emphasized the region’s importance as a source of foreign investment and strategic partnerships.

📜 Condemnation of US Strikes and Global Hypocrisy

Owaisi condemned the US strikes on Iran’s Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear sites as violations of international law, the UN Charter, and even the US Constitution, which requires Congressional approval for acts of war. He also criticized the double standards in global nuclear policy, pointing out that Israel’s undeclared nuclear arsenal remains unchecked by the NPT or IAEA.

“This boogie of Iran’s nuclear threat is just like the WMD lie in Iraq. Nothing came out then, and nothing will now,” he added.
