Nothing 7 10

India’s mixed 4x400m relay team delivered a spectacular performance, clinching gold at the Asian Athletics Championships 2025 with a dominant finish.

The Indian quartet—Santhosh Kumar, Rupal Chaudhary, Vishal TK, and Subha Venkatesan—clocked an impressive 3:18.12 seconds, securing the top spot ahead of China (3:20.52s) and Sri Lanka (3:21.95s). However, in a surprising turn of events, both China and Sri Lanka were disqualified, leading to Kazakhstan (3:22.70s) and South Korea (3:22.87s) claiming silver and bronze, respectively.

India’s relay dominance was evident from the start, with Santhosh Kumar setting a strong pace before handing the baton to Rupal Chaudhary, who extended the lead despite stiff competition from China. Vishal TK maintained the advantage, and Subha Venkatesan sealed the victory with a commanding final leg.

This victory marks India’s successful title defense, following their gold medal win in the 2023 edition of the championships.
