AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has invoked the words of Himanshi Narwal, wife of Navy officer Lt. Vinay Narwal, who was killed in the Pahalgam terror attack, to urge the government to focus on unity over division.

Speaking at a rally in East Champaran, Bihar, Owaisi praised Himanshi’s call for peace, highlighting that “even in grief, she spoke against hatred for Muslims and Kashmiris”. He emphasized that spreading communal hatred only serves the interests of terrorists, urging the government to remember her words and prioritize national unity.

Himanshi, who lost her husband just six days after their wedding, had earlier stated, “We don’t want people going after Muslims and Kashmiris… We want peace and justice.” Her remarks have resonated widely, sparking discussions on communal harmony and responsible discourse in times of crisis.

Owaisi’s statement comes amid heightened India-Pakistan tensions, following the April 22 terror attack, which claimed 26 lives. The government has since taken diplomatic and security measures, including border restrictions and intelligence operations.
