Automation Anywhere, a global leader in Agentic Process Automation (APA), has unveiled a major expansion of its AI-powered automation platform, introducing new capabilities aimed at transforming enterprise operations. The move underscores the company’s strategic bet on India’s rapidly growing AI ecosystem, with significant contributions from its India-based development teams.
Key Highlights of the Expansion
The latest update introduces the Process Reasoning Engine (PRE)—an industry-first AI engine that understands enterprise context and dynamically drives outcomes. PRE enables agentic orchestration across multiple vendors, enhancing cross-platform collaboration and decision-making.
Two new categories of AI agents were also launched:
- Enterprise UI Agents: Adaptive agents that interact with enterprise software in real time.
- Reasoning AI Agents: Goal-driven agents capable of autonomous planning, execution, and learning.
“These new Agentic Solutions represent a major leap beyond traditional automation systems,” said Ankur Kothari, Co-founder and COO. “Our goal is to deliver scalable, ready-to-deploy solutions that move beyond proof-of-concept and deliver measurable results.”
India at the Core of Innovation
India’s developer ecosystem played a pivotal role in building the new platform. Adi Kuruganti, Chief Product Officer, noted that the APA system was designed with Indian enterprises in mind, featuring low-code tools, robust APIs, and real-time collaboration features to accelerate adoption.
The company also highlighted a shift in India’s enterprise landscape—from Global Capability Centers (GCCs) to Indian corporates actively driving AI-led transformation. Over 70% of Indian clients now use AI plus automation, with a goal to reach 90% in two years.
Business Impact and Market Outlook
The enhanced APA platform can automate up to 80% of enterprise operations, compared to 20–30% with traditional RPA. It includes enterprise-grade security features like PII data masking, AI guardrails, and real-time monitoring—with a strong emphasis on data privacy, as customer data is not used to train AI models.
Automation Anywhere sees India as a strategic hub, drawing parallels to China’s rise in manufacturing. “India is on a similar path with process automation,” Kothari said, citing the country’s blend of tech innovation and talent as a global differentiator.
