The Uttar Pradesh government is rolling out a bold initiative to boost farmers’ income and transform rural economies through large-scale natural farming. Under the ‘One Gram Panchayat, One Cluster’ campaign, the state aims to create self-sustaining agricultural hubs that will reduce costs, increase productivity, and enhance market access for farmers.
🔴 Key Features of the Cluster Model:
- Each cluster will cover 50 hectares of farmland and include at least 125 farmers.
- Financial support of ₹7.16 lakh in the first year and ₹6.83 lakh in the second year to promote natural farming practices.
- Farmers will be linked with Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), gaining access to farm machinery banks, custom hiring centers, warehouses, cold storage, and marketing services.
📢 How This Will Benefit Farmers:
- Lower input costs and higher earnings through sustainable farming.
- Better storage and distribution facilities to prevent crop wastage.
- Increased market access for organic produce, fetching premium prices.
⚠️ Government’s Vision:
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath envisions this model as a game-changer for rural development, making Gram Panchayats economically strong and turning them into centers of agricultural innovation.
