Prime Minister Narendra Modi has firmly rejected any third-party mediation in India-Pakistan relations, stating that India will take direct action against Pakistan if necessary.
PM Modi’s Strong Message on Pakistan
Addressing the nation on May 12, PM Modi made it clear that India will not engage in talks with Pakistan except on terrorism and the return of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
“If there will be talks between India and Pakistan, it will only be on terrorism and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK)…India’s stand has been clear—terror, trade, and talks cannot go together,” PM Modi declared.
US Mediation Rejected
PM Modi also dismissed US President Donald Trump’s offer to mediate, stating that India does not need external intervention in its national security matters.
Trump had earlier suggested that India and Pakistan should resolve their differences through diplomatic channels, offering to facilitate discussions. However, PM Modi categorically ruled out any mediation, reinforcing India’s sovereign stance on the issue.
India’s Tough Stance on Cross-Border Terrorism
PM Modi reiterated that India’s response to terrorism has changed, emphasizing that future terror attacks will be treated as acts of war.
“Bullets must be responded to by artillery,” PM Modi stated, signaling India’s aggressive military posture against Pakistan.
Operation Sindoor: India’s New Normal
Following Operation Sindoor, India has adopted a forceful approach to Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, making it clear that terror and dialogue cannot coexist.
With tensions escalating, PM Modi’s remarks underscore India’s firm stance on national security, reinforcing its commitment to eliminating terrorism at its roots.
