In a shocking crime that has gripped Tripura’s Dhalai district, police have arrested six individuals in connection with the murder of 24-year-old Shariful Islam, whose body was found stuffed inside an ice-cream freezer at a shop in Gandacherra.

- Shariful Islam, an electrician, had been missing since June 8. His family filed a missing person complaint on June 9, leading to a police investigation.
- Dr. Dibakar Saha (28), the prime accused, allegedly strangled Shariful to death at a house in South Indranagar, with the help of three accomplices.
- The murder was reportedly motivated by a love triangle, as Dibakar was in love with his cousin, who was in a relationship with Shariful.
