A detailed takedown by an X user has gone viral, challenging the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistan over its claims linking India to recent terror attacks following the Pahalgam massacre.
The user dissected ISPR’s April 29 press conference, where DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary presented what he called “irrefutable forensic evidence” against India. However, the X user pointed out multiple inconsistencies in the alleged digital proof, questioning its authenticity and forensic credibility.
Among the most glaring discrepancies was a WhatsApp call recording supposedly found on a terrorist’s phone—recorded a year before his arrest. The user argued that it was highly unlikely for an untrained militant to preemptively install apps to record encrypted calls.
Further scrutiny was directed at screenshots of chats, which were allegedly taken immediately after each message was sent. The user questioned how ISPR could have obtained such precise timestamps before the accused was even arrested.
Another major revelation involved a drone, which ISPR claimed was of Indian origin. A reverse Google image search conducted by the X user revealed that the drone was actually a Chinese DJI model, raising doubts about ISPR’s narrative.
The user also flagged inconsistencies in ISPR’s financial transaction evidence, arguing that the alleged Indian handlers conveniently left behind a trail of easily screen-shotted transactions.
The viral thread has sparked widespread debate, with many questioning the credibility of ISPR’s claims and the political motives behind the accusations.
